Hello, my Lion King peeps! This is your director Damian. I hope you’re all just as excited to start this process as I am. I can already tell this production will be a ton of fun, and you guys are going to learn so much! Thank you all for choosing to audition. Auditioning can be scary so thank you all for your bravery. 

 

That being said, this show is written so that not everyone can have a speaking line, but that is okay! Everyone will be in every song and have the chance to showcase their singing, dancing, and acting through physicality (you are all playing animals after all). So, get creative on how to portray whatever role you have. Think of what Safari animal you could possibly embody. HAVE FUN WITH IT! You are all very talented and we’re all excited to see what you bring to the show. 

 

Parents, be sure to read this section.

We will be holding our first cast meeting on Wednesday, January 8th from 5 pm - 6:15 pm at our location at 315 E 4th St where we held auditions. All parents should attend this meeting with their kids. At this meeting, we will hand out the rehearsal schedule, go over expectations for being in an FYL production, as well as all the appropriate paperwork, and information on production fees, t-shirts, and so forth. We will also get to know each other a little better. All rehearsals will be held at this space on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 pm to 6:15 pm. Performances will also be held here from March 7th through the 9th.
